Hi, I’m Jan Erik Meidell — a Norwegian-Swiss hockey fan. My heart is split three ways: Fribourg-Gottéron, Lausanne HC and the Stavanger Oilers. By day I lecture in statistics at university, and Fanzclub is what happens when a stats lecturer gets frustrated with how little good data hockey fans actually get.
I built this app for the stands, not for a business plan. The analytics are the kind I wanted myself: who really won the game and why, which lines work, which goalie is hot — explained, not just listed.
I want fan clubs to be stronger, better informed and better funded. That’s the whole project.
Sponsor and advertising revenue in the app is shared with the participating supporter clubs. Your club gets a transparent kickback — you can ask your club board to see the numbers at any time.
